Santa and Mrs. Claus at Cable Car Square

As Santa and Mrs. Claus rode down the rumbling Cable Car from the Fourth Street Elevator, the little kids and adult kids waited in anticipation.  There were booths with hot toddy’s and cookies, plus some face painting and straw bundles to sit upon, but the highlight was the arrival of Santa.

Museum of Art City at Work Reception

The Dubuque Museum of Art proudly presented the photo exhibit by Tom Olson, the City at Work, with an opening ceremony on Friday the 7th of December. The photographs offer two collections, one from this century and one from the last century, and often of the same view.

Roshek Flag Folding Ceremony honors Pearl Harbor

The American, Iowa and Dubuque flags hung in the calm air of the Roshek Building awaiting the call to “colors” by Honor Guard Captain Bill Kubler and the American Legion in a ceremony on Pearl Harbor Day.

John Badger Art Show Tribute

John Badger, and artist who hails from Galena, Illinois, held an opening ceremony on Friday the 23rd of November, in the new Caradco Building at 9th and Jackson Street in Dubuque, Iowa. The exhibit, “A Retrospective: Thanksgiving for the Artist and His Art”, was wildly acclaimed by those in attendance.
