Loras College Adjunct Faculty of Communication Arts and Dubuque businesswoman Catherine Goodman has received the Iowa Communication Association’s (ICA) 2014 Outstanding Adjunct Teacher. The ICA only grants three awards a year and competition is stiff.

Wartburg Theological Seminary President Stanley N. Olson has announced his intent to retire at the end of this academic year. Olson has served as Wartburg Seminary’s 13th President since January 2011. Under his leadership, Wartburg has been strengthened both financially and academically and is prepared to continue to excel in the formation of valued leaders.

Four Wahlert Students Named Commended Students

Wahlert Catholic Principal Ronald Meyers announced Tuesday, September 30, that Nick Brylski, Logan Drake, Nathan Herman, and Nathan Kelleher have been named Commended Students in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by Principal Meyers to these scholastically talented seniors.

Loras’ Sarah Link (’14) Selected for Student Fellowship Award

Sarah Link (’14), a Loras College marketing and sociology graduate, has been selected as the recipient of the Dr. Clifford L. Eubanks Fellowship for the 2014 Sigma Beta Delta Fellowship Program. Link’s outstanding capabilities and performance in all subject areas earned her the distinguished award, including maintaining a 3.611 GPA while participating in several campus and community activities.
