St. Mark Seeking Local Artists for Gallery of Growing Event

St. Mark Youth Enrichment is planning a fundraiser in conjunction with the Dubuque Rescue Mission called Gallery of Growing. This two-day event will feature an art show of pieces from students in St. Mark Youth Enrichment programming, men living at the Rescue Mission, and local artists.

The City of Dubuque and the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission are soliciting competitive applications from all interested parties for two distinct arts and culture funding programs for the fiscal year (FY) 2015 grant cycle (July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015). 7th Annual Women of Achievement Awards

The Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) of Dubuque is hosting the 7th Annual Women of Achievement Awards on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Grand River Center. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar, dinner is at 6:30 p.m., and the awards are at 7:30 p.m.

Everyday Heroes Recognized

The American Red Cross of the Tri-States, along with corporate sponsors Dupaco Community Credit Union, KWWL, and Radio Dubuque stations (KAT-FM, KDTH, 97.3 The Rock, and The River) are proud to announce the winners of the 11th Annual Everyday Heroes of the Tri-States. 21 Everyday Heroes will be recognized in six categories for 15 acts of heroism.

AAF Dubuque Now Accepting 2014 Scholarship Applications!

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Dubuque scholarship is open to tri-state-area college students who have declared majors in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, graphic design, or a related field. To qualify, entrants who attend a four-year college or university must have enough credits to be classified as seniors in the fall of 2014 and also be enrolled for the fall semester at any of the following colleges or universities: Clarke University, Loras College, University of Dubuque, NICC, or the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
